Hours of Operation
Before School Program
- Operates each day public school is in session starting at 6:45 am
- If the Dell Rapids School District announces a “late start” on a particular day due to the weather or other emergency, the Before School Program will be CLOSED.
After School Program
- Operates each day public school is in session until 6:00 pm
- The After School Program will be open on all public school scheduled early dismissal days beginning when school is dismissed until 6:00 pm.
- If the Dell Rapids School District announces "early dismissal" due to inclement weather, the After School Program will be CLOSED.
**THE HAVEN PROGRAM WILL BE CLOSED ON SNOW DAYS.
**Administration may close program for severe weather or other emergencies. Parents will be contacted to pick-up their child as soon as possible.
Summer Program
- Students must bring a sack lunch. A microwave will be available for students to use Monday-Friday. A ‘cold’ sack lunch, with ice, is necessary for Field Trips.
- Students entering grades 6-7 can apply to be "Haven Mentors." You may request a Haven Mentor Booklet for more information.
- Summer Enrollment packets are typically available at mid April. They can be obtained at the school offices, calling 605-366-8612, or emailing drcommunityhaven@gmail.com.
Summer Recreation
- Students can participate in the Summer Recreation Program sponsored by the City of Dell Rapids.
- $15 Registration Fee per participant.
- Students not enrolled in Haven will need to sign up for this program.
Field Trips
- Field trips are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All students will be responsible for sack lunches. Please have children at Haven by 8:45 a.m. so we can leave promptly for the adventure for the day.
- Students not enrolled in Haven on a regular basis, can participate in Field Trips at the daily rate plus the applicable entrance fee. Students will need to bring a sack lunch on ice.
- Field Trip Destinations and Fees will vary. You can request a Summer Enrollment packet with detailed information.
